[RELEASE] Math’s Drill – MONTH OF AMIGA

mathsdrill-amigacover

“Thanks. Welcome to the Maths Drill. Make your choice.”

So we open the new week of MONTH OF AMIGA with an exclusive! Sadly that exclusive is Maths Drill. This “game” has not appeared on any other site, including lemonamiga.com, making this an exclusive to the internet for 16 Bit Audiophile.

There’s four tracks but only one of them is music – a surprisingly well realised chorus of “Everlasting Love” by Sandra (Which was a major pop song of the 1980s). I figured I’d open the week with an exclusive, albeit one that is hardly going to be on loop on your music player. Those worrying that more of these are to come, this is the only such title I have so everything else on it’s way is from bona-fide games. In fact you have TWO more releases this coming week.

UPCOMING RELEASES : On Wednesday you’ll have a big game with a small soundtrack and on Friday you’ll have the first game of a major Amiga franchise celebrating a high quality release through us. These are not to be missed. In the meantime, feel free to laugh at Maths Drill.

[RELEASE] Mortal Kombat (Amiga) – MONTH OF AMIGA

“MORTAL KOMBAAAAT!”

As the first release officially under the new MONTH OF AMIGA, we have now released the Amiga soundtrack to the original Mortal Kombat. And as an extra-special treat you’ll also get a few jingles and two voice clips (“Get Over Here!”).

Keep your eye on this site over the coming month for more MONTH OF AMIGA releases, including some little known titles and some major releases that sealed the Amiga in 16 Bit history. We will be trying to get out two a week over August to compensate for donluca’s absence and the lack of Mega Drive updates. See you next week for a rarity on Wednesday and an absolute classic later in the week.

[RELEASE] Captain Planet and the Planeteers

“We’re the Planeteers, you can be one too! Cos saving our planet is the thing to do. Lootin’ and pollutin’ is not the way. Hear what Captain Planet has to say! THE POWER IS YOURS!

Finally worked my head around the audio desk donluca sent me and decided to get a mucho difficult soundtrack out first to ease congestion later. Captain Planet and the Planeteers was a game best known for coming free with the Amiga 500+ Cartoon Pack (Along with Photon Paint and Lemmings), and as such finding its way into the homes of many Amiga owners by default. The game itself is tough, sometimes due to difficult game design, other times due to lacklustre controls. Though did you find the hidden Lemming on Ma-Ti’s level?

(as usual, clicking on the cover above will take you directly to the download page)

[RELEASE] Pinball Dreams

pinball-dreams-amigacover

Our first Commodore Amiga soundtrack has been released, and we kick-start proceedings with the classic pinball simulator “Pinball Dreams” by Swedish developers Digital Illusions (DiCE, now owned by EA).

Exclusive to this release are the in-game versions of the level themes, which don’t appear to be available on any other site in any format (Including the soundtrack player/emulator on lemonamiga).

We hope you’ll enjoy the tracks and look forward to hearing your views on this new segment to the site.
